Operating on the banks of the Mississippi River in Wisconsin’s Mt. Sterling, this member-owned and state-licensed cooperative comprises five northeastern Iowa farms. They ship their rBGH-free goat’s milk to the creamery every few days. All milk for collection from the farms is sampled and tested for freshness and quality before being transported. The prize-winning creamery produces 10 varieties of goat cheese free of synthetic hormones, as well as seasonal whey butter.
